Charan Kaur, mother of the late punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala is reported to be pregnant and will give birth to her second child in March this year.

Sources confirmed that the grief stricken parents of the slain singer had taken the IVF route and were successfull in conceiving the baby. His mother is 58 years old. She is reported to be under constant medical observation.

Sidhu Moosewala was murdered in May 2002. Sidhu was on his way to a to Jawaharke, a nearby village when 6 shooters who were following him fired at him. He died on the spot. The brutal killing of a heart throb singer sent shock waves. His death was mourned by millions around the world. A candle march was taken out by his fans in Mansa village seeking justice for him.

A few moths before his tragic demise he got engaged to Amardeep Kaur.

As a Congress Party candidate Sidhu Moosewala had contested the elections from Mansa in 2022. He was defeated by the AAP candidate Dr Vijay Singla.

The singer-turned-politician was best known for songs such as So High, Same Beef, The Last Ride, Just Listen and 295 among many other hits.

His debut album was PBX 1, which scored big at the 66th spot on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart.

During one of his fully sold out concert at Scotia Bank Arena in Toronto, Burna Boy, a Nigerian musician took a pause and had paid tribute to Sidhu Moosewala. Although he died nearly two years ago, Sidhu Moosewala’s legacy and popularity has never dipped. He’s currently charting on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 with the posthumous single “Drippy” featuring AR Paisley and MXRCI. Punjabi music has become increasingly popular in North America, artists like Burna Boy are making sure that music lovers should know who started it all.
As Sidhu had great ties to Brampton so a street in the name of Sidhu Moosewala was proposed in April 2023.
The City of Brampton had already announced the creation of a mural to commemorate Sidhu Moosewala, but now, there’s an additional memorial effort in motion – a proposal from Councillor Harkirat Singh could see “Moosa,” the village Moosewala grew up in, added to Brampton’s master street naming list.
In 2016 after completing his engineering in Ludhiana Sidhu Moosewala enrolled in Humber College, Toronto. Later on he slowly ventured into the punjabi music scene in Brampton. By this time Sidhu was already composing songs for a singer named Ninja. At Brampton Sidhu’s singing talent bloomed to the fullest and quickly climbed to the top of the punjabi music scene. While in Brampton Sidhu worked in a bakery, but that didnt last long as wtihin very less time he made it big.
Moosewala’s songs had initially glorified gun violence and drugs, while later on he picked up social issues and because of the violent element in his songs a large section of the society opposed his songs whereas there were many who really liked it.
There was a delay of ticket sales when the police expressed security risk during one of his concert at the Pacific Coliseum in the Canadian city of Vancouver, British Columbia.
